Helping Families Prepare for the New School Year with Supplies and Support

Jack and Ronnie McGreevey Civic Association Launches Back-to-School Initiative The Jack and Ronnie McGreevey Civic Association is proud to announce its Back to School Backpack Giveaway and Community Support Day, taking place on Saturday, August 30, at 11:00 a.m. at 73 Martin Luther King Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07305.
The Back to School Initiative reflects the Association’s mission of service, solidarity, and empowerment. The Association will distribute free, eco-friendly backpacks filled with school supplies, ensuring that every student begins the school year prepared, confident, and with a renewed sense of dignity and self-esteem.

“Our mission is to stand with children and families,” stated Jim McGreevey, founder of the Jack and Ronnie McGreevey Civic Association. “The Back to School Initiative helps ensure every child, no matter their background, may look to the future with hope. More than providing supplies, this event shows our children that their community believes in them, supports them, and will walk beside them.”
The event will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and children must be present to receive a backpack. By combining resources and community services, the Jack and Ronnie McGreevey Civic Association reaffirms its role as a source of immediate assistance and a catalyst for long-term social change.​
